hectic..

i just downloaded oracle for database design is a FREE SOFTWARE and i got the visual studio 2005...ok todays abit hectic. i learn network technology revise the tutorials... like collision domains and like repeaters and hubs extend collison domain while routers, bridges and switches dive collison domain..functions os the devices also .Repeaters:amplify incoming signal and extend them >100 but do not segment the network.why is is layer 1? Becoz it regenerate and retime signal at bit level to allow them to travel longer distances on the media...and also Hub:layer one device,connect PCs to ports,amplify incoming siganl, broadast them to all ports.Brideges:Create mac address table and decides whther to forward the frames or not. filter LAn traffic.Switches:layer 2 devices,Hub+Bridge combination,uses MAc adrees to switch incoming ports to outgoing ports and last but not least Routers: use network address toselect the best path to send packets over the network. haha. im crazy over studying... bah. dun read this entry.And also i when to copy them SQl form www.w3schools.com..later going learn object-oriented analaysis and design. so many things
